The advertisements nowadays are becoming less and less honest, so people can ignore the advertisements for their own good.(反对)
People buy stuffs everyday and every time they choose one particular product from millions of other basically same goods, they would think whether they saw this product on some forms of commercials or advertisements before, for example, advertisements placed on newspapers or magazines or commercials played on televisions or movie trailers. But when they find out the products they have bought are not as good as what the businesses advertised, so they elect to ignore and distrust those commercials. However, I still believe that there are some very useful information within the commercials and thus will help us when it comes to using the advertised products.
Admittedly, some commercials are surely on the verge of deception to consumers who are trying to purchase them since what the buyers get are never what the sellers say they would get in the commercials. For example, KFC and McDonald’s are considered two of the largest fast food franchise in the entire world, and they put out commercials almost everywhere, on television, on the Internet, on newspapers or magazines and sometimes even on the street. The food advertised looks so deliciously pretty and that even someone who’s not interested in having fast food would go to the restaurant to get one of its so-looked delicious burgers. But when they get the burger they will find out that it looks nothing like what they saw and imagines. So here comes the disappointment and they wouldn’t trust the commercials anymore.
However, there are still some advantages people could acquire from the commercial they watch since these commercials not only advertise the product but also provide some insights of how people could use the product properly and more effectively. For example, we have all seen the iPhone or iPad commercials on several of medias; they are evidently useful for sure. And the commercials of this kind of products can actually help costumers to know about these products more vividly than their instruction menus. We may learn some secret or hidden features for iPhones or we may know how to take a better picture. These kinds of commercials are crucial for using a high tech product.
In conclusion, although some commercial may mislead its consumers to get wrong ideas for a product and make them despise the commercials, not all advertisements are like that. Technological products such as iPhones or computers need commercials to educate the general publics of how to use the amazing features being provided by these products.
